The First Multiplier Event of DigiReady+ was successfully carried out at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany on Thursday, October 13th 2022. The event was attended by 30 participants from 13 Higher Education Institutions from 4 countries: Germany, Greece, Spain, and Estonia. The event was a full-day one with talks, plenary discussions, and interactive activities.
The objective was to bring together people involved in higher education, including HEI administration, government, staff, faculty, and researchers, to discuss how the integration of digital technologies in Higher Education changes the landscape, the challenges it can introduce, and how to develop strategies towards supporting digital readiness. We were, therefore, more than excited to welcome a mixed audience of researchers, staff, faculty, administrative employees, curriculum developers, data protection officers and science managers who made insightful and critical contributions about digitalization in Higher Education.
During the event, we shared the project’s outputs through a series of talks, a plenary discussion with the participants, and a hands-on activity that required active involvement and enabled participants to familiarize themselves with the conceptual Integrated Framework for assessing HEIs Digital Readiness based on Institutional and Instructional Data Analytics.
The event concluded with a keynote from Prof. Dr. Armin Weinberger (Saarland University) on “Challenges & pitfalls of practices and research on educational technology”. The slide deck used to facilitate the event can be found here. We will soon follow up with a formal report of the First Multiplier Event that will be available for download via the project’s website.
After the end of the event, we asked participants to evaluate their experience via an online survey as well as to provide their suggestions for follow-up activities. The results of this evaluation can be found here: satisfaction report for UDE multiplier event
